We aim to provide high quality health, housing, care and lifestyle services to older people that takes account of their needs - physical, social, emotional, cultural and spiritual - and supports independence, dignity and right of choice.
We are grateful of the support we receive from individuals, business and community organisations, who share our commitment in striving to provide the very highest quality care and services to the elderly in our local community. Fundraising activities help us to meet this goal.

Nardy House Disability Support
thebegavalley.org.au/nardyhouse |
The Nardy House Committee was formed twelve years ago. A donation of five and a half acres of land was made to the group and its main aim was, and still remains, to provide permanent accommodation to people with profound disabilities. We gained charity status, while working under the BVSC banner. The planning of the Nardy House project resulted in a three-stage facility. These stages reflected the physical needs of the people who would be using the facility and the requirements of their carers. The first stage was a permanent accommodation house for six people with profound disabilities; the second stage was a respite facility for six people with profound disabilities and the third stage was a therapy room and pool for use by clients and local residents with therapy needs. We received assistance from the NSW Government to build Stage 2 of the project in 2000. The State Government also assisted with set up costs. The respite stage was completed April 2005. We are seeking recurrent funding for the facility. We are ready to start building the accommodation stage. We have enough local support and funds to begin construction and with continued support to complete the project. |

Sapphire Coast
Marine Discovery Centre
www.edenmarinediscovery.orq.au |
The Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre is a community backed project to develop and build a public Marine Education, Research and Discovery Centre in Eden to service the entire region.
Following many years of dedicated hard work, research and planning, the Centre is poised to become a reality in the very near future following the allocation of a Crown Lands Licence over 1,000m2 of vacant land in the Snug Cove wharf precinct of Eden. .
A Discovery Centre will be the keystone attraction for the Centre which will also incorporate research facilities and possibly a commercial aquaculture venture. A Centre of this nature would have obvious educational and economic benefits for the local community and beyond. Now that we have acquired a suitable site, we will require continuing support from the local community and all levels of Government to bring the Centre to life. As a Deductible Gift Recipient, all donations towards the Marine Centre are fully tax deductible. Late in 2006 we intend to launch our Membership program offering many incentives for even more community members to become involved with this exciting venture.
