PreTax Payroll Donations

This Scheme involves your paymaster making deductions for donations to tax deductible organisations from your pay before tax is calculated. This means you get your Tax Deduction as you make the donation, not wait for tax time. Although the scheme is set up to promote Bega Valley Tax Deductible Organisations you may make donations to any of your favourite other charities by the same method.

To work for you your employer must have joined in this scheme and we have so far only targeted the larger businesses in the valley. Ask your paymaster if your organisation is yet involved.

A Message From the President of the Mumbulla Foundation.

The Mumbulla Foundation is proud to have initiated this payroll deduction scheme, which will benefit many Bega Valley charities.

Your regular giving can help these groups continue their good work. Deductions from your pre-tax pay are a simple, tax-effective – and fairly painless! – way to provide your ongoing support.

And you have plenty of choices about how your contributions will be spent.

Choose the Mumbulla Foundation if you would like your giving to benefit not-for-profit groups right across the Shire. The Foundation usually helps more than 20 local groups each year.

Choose one of the other listed groups (below) if you want to support a specific activity in the Shire.

Or choose the combination of organisations that most appeals to you. You can spread your giving over as many or few of the listed groups as you wish.

You can be confident that every dollar you give will be used effectively. The payroll deduction scheme will be administered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), which has worldwide experience in the field. Neither the Mumbulla Foundation, nor any of the other listed groups, will be involved in either collecting or distributing donations.
